WORKING PROCESS

The tube bundle is placed on the customer’s feeding skid. The tubes are taken manually and fed in the machine manually upto a mechanical stopper. The machine on button is pressed. The side clamp and top clamp get ON and the blade arm comes up to cut the tube/s and goes back down.. The clamps open and the machine is ready for the next feeding. All these operations are carried out in automatic mode and through hydraulic cylinders.

The cut is Burr free cold sawing. Small tubes can be fed and cut in bunches.

WORKING PROCESS

The tube bundle is kept on the feeding skid by the overhead crane. The machine feeds the layer of tubes on to the feeding conveyor through a set of pneumatic cylinders. Tubes are sensed on the conveyor and a press down rolls are lowered on the front end of the tubes by pneumatic cylinder. An AC Geared motor drives the front bottom rolls to feed the layer of tubes in the machine.

The layer of tubes moves through a vertical guide & moving clamp up to a stopper. The tube is sensed at the stopper and moving clamp is pressed. The press down rolls move up and the feeding drive stops. The stopper goes up, out of the line. The moving clamp moves up to the end of the slide while taking the end of the tubes up to the cutting position. The main clamps ( side & top) come down to clamp the tubes for cutting. Blade feed starts and the front end of the tubes are cut. After cutting the tube end, the bade goes back to home position. During this operation, the moving clamp gets released and moves back by a distance equal to the cut length and clamps the tube. After blade reaches home, the main clamps are released and the moving clamp moves up to the end of slide hence feeding the tubes as per the set cut length. The main clamps come down and cutting takes place while the moving clamp moves back again for the next feeding.

This operation goes on until the end of the tube.

As the last end of the tube passes out of the conveyor, the position sensor goes off and signals next layer of tubes to be fed on to the conveyor. The press down rolls come down and wait for the previous layer to be finished at cutting. As the tubes are finished at cutting, the moving clamp comes to initial position and stopper comes down. The next layer of tubes already on the feeding
conveyor, are fed by the conveyor motor up to the stopper and the cycle is repeated.   

The moving & main clamps are hydraulic while the stopper up/ down is through pneumatic cylinder.
The blade slide & moving clamp slide are through servo motor on a LM guide & Ball Screw mechanism.
